The Story of Used Oil Only a Few People Talk About
Used oil is part of our everyday life, but very few people think about what happens to it after it is collected. There’s an awareness gap - not just around responsible collection and recycling, but also around the people who handle used oil at the grassroots level. Their safety, health and well-being matter too. RUOMF Foundation was created to help bridge that gap by bringing together people, businesses, collectors, recyclers and communities for a safer and more responsible used-oil system. RESPONSIBLE USED OIL MANAGEMENT FOUNDATION was founded in India, West Bengal with a vision to improve the lives of marginalized communities. Our founders, led by PRACHI HAMIRBASIA, brought together a team of passionate individuals who shared a commitment to social justice and community empowerment. In our early years, we focused on providing education and healthcare services to rural communities in West Bengal.
