The Story of Used Oil Only a Few People Talk About

Used oil is part of our everyday life, but very few people think about what happens to it after it is collected. There’s an awareness gap - not just around responsible collection and recycling, but also around the people who handle used oil at the grassroots level. Their safety, health and well-being matter too. RUOMF Foundation was created to help bridge that gap by bringing together people, businesses, collectors, recyclers and communities for a safer and more responsible used-oil system. Because responsible used oil management should protect both the environment and the people behind the work. #UsedOilRecycling #ResponsibleRecycling #EnvironmentalAwareness #CollectorSafety

Our Values

Community Empowerment

At RESPONSIBLE USED OIL MANAGEMENT FOUNDATION, we believe that community empowerment is crucial for sustainable development. By engaging with local communities and promoting participatory decision-making, we enable them to take ownership of their development initiatives. For instance, in a rural village in West Bengal, we worked with women to form self-help groups, which not only provided them with financial support but also helped build their confidence and leadership skills.
